Atha Williams - Owner
Shortly
before Carroll retired, I took my own leave from the
workplace to follow my journey into the horse world
- a dream that started at about age two but did not
truly begin until February 2001.
After spending a Sunday afternoon looking for waterfront
property around the Guntersville, Alabama area, Carroll
and I made our return trip through Arab to make our
way home. As I watched the beautiful scenery, I saw
a Palamino grazing in a nearby pasture. I had found
my horse soul mate just by watching this wonderful
creature, and it started me on a journey that I never
imagined would touch my heart in such a way that I
would never be the same. My husband and I contacted
the owner of the horse and to my disappointment he
was not interested in selling this particular horse.
But as faith would have it, a week later the owner
called to see if I was still interested in purchasing
the Palamino, and the rest as they say is history.
Trigger was mine. I owned my first horse: part Morgan,
part Mustang.
This was the beginning of my adventure of being a
horse owner. I love working with these fantastic animals.
It is definitely a labor of love. And with the help
of a master builder, a crew of five to fifteen construction
workers and eighteen months of hard labor, my dream
came true with the building of my own barn. Of course
Carroll reached part of his own dream with a barn
addition to house his collection of cars.
