Why Choose Cheval Farm
We are passionate about our breeding program and
our services provide our clients with foals of outstanding
dispositions, excellent conformation, quarter horse
good looks, speed, agility, and horses of color.
We offer many different options for the results that
you are seeking. Our program offers our mares to be
paired with your choose of our stallions or your stallions,
to produce the ideal foal. By choosing one of our
mares and stallions your foal will be imprinted at
our farm and worked with daily until it is six months
old and ready for weaning, (see Training
and Care for details). We can also ship semen
from one of our stallions to be paired with a mare
of you choice. Please contact us for details on our

One of our mares Hockers
Kacey Rose is a "Smoky Black" she is
black in color but she can produce a foal of color
regardless of the color of sire. She carries a cream
gene that is not apparent in her appearance. (A Smoky
Black horse is a Black horse that received one copy
of the creme dilution gene from one of its parents,
but probably looks no different than any other black
or brown horse.) The first foal that "Rosa"
produced was a "Cremello" Roses
Blueyed Wonder, she was bred to a Palomino and
we were hoping for a Buckskin or Palomino but to our
surprise she gave us "Blue". (A Cremello
is a sorrel/chestnut horse that received one copy
of the creme gene from both of its parents, and has
pink skin, blue eyes, cream to nearly white hair coat,
and a white mane and tail.) For more information
on Smoky Black, Cremellos and other horses of color
go to www.doubledilute.com.
"Rosa's" second foal, a beautiful dark caramel
Buckskin and we bred her to a sorrel, our own Sonny
Dee Bar Double. We can't wait until her next foal
arrives.
